Who am I?

Short story: I'm a Spanish actor

Long story: I started acting at age 10 when I first performed on a stage being a talking dog in a school play. Since that day, I haven’t done anything else other than act on a stage. I come from a family of scientists and I kind of devoted myself to acting against my mother’s will. At age 14, she let me audition to get into EMAD (Municipal School of Dramatic Arts) in Madrid just so I could see how hard the industry is and how many “No’s” I would get... but I did get in. I started my extracurricular training there until I graduated in 2020.

I did take a break from the school to come to the USA my sophomore year of High School in Bloomfield, Indiana. There I joined the Drama Club. I remember so well how surprised I was by the fact that a High School puts actual productions with a crew and all. I got in for both the Fall musical and the Spring play. Since then I knew that the way theater is confronted in the USA was going to fulfill my needs way more than in Spain.

After that year, I went back to Spain to finish my high school education and my training at EMAD but I knew I wanted to go to college somewhere in the USA. And so I did. In 2020 I got into CSU Long Beach and it was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. I remember feeling so well how my technique was getting better and better every year that I sometimes wished I could go back in time to re-do some roles with the knowledge I have now.

Now I’m heading into the film, TV, and theater industry with more confidence and ready to prove that there aren’t dreams big enough no matter where you come from.

Education

2020 - 2024

CSU Long Beach

I graduated with a BA Theatre Performance and a Minor in Italian Studies. In my acting training I was under the mentorship of Hugh O'Gorman, who taught me everything about the Chéjov technique, the one I feel suits my need the most. But I also learned more about the Meisner's and Uta Hagen's technique, which are also helpful. In terms of voice technique I learned about Fitzmoritz's which has been very useful for voice projection.

2015 -2020

EMAD

I graduated with an acting diploma under the training of various teachers. I was taught techniques like Stanislavski's and Meisner's for acting. For movement I was taught Laban's technique which to this day the one I use when given a character.
